African Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce donate generously
Thirty 10kg bags of rice were donated.
On Tuesday morning (19 February) Sjaas Reyneke and dominee Fanie le Roux accepted a generous donation from the African Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce (ATCC) and Amitofo Care Centre on behalf of the Roodepoort Older Person’s Forum (ROPF).
The donation of 30×10kg bags of rice was made by Sherry Chen, who is the President of ATCC and Vincent Lin who is the Secretary General of Amitofo Care Centre. The handover was made at the Eden Retirement Village in Helderkruin.
The rice will be distributed among institutions that take care of the elderly, such as Roodepoort Care for the Aged.
The handover was followed by ROPF’s AGM during which a firm decision was made that there should be greater unity among organisations that care for the elderly.
