A couple who has been married for almost 50 years revealed their secret to a long and successful marriage.
This happened when the Flower Foundation hosted a Valentine’s Day event for the Witpoortjie Senior Park residents to celebrate love. The theme of the day was Chinese and the main colours used in the decorations were red and black.
Residents came stylishly dressed in red and white – the colours of love.
Niels Frylinck and his wife Barbara, said their secret to a long and successful marriage is simply choosing to love the person you married despite all the challenges you face. “Communication is also one of the most important factors because most of the challenges can be solved by it,” Niels said.
Musician Hein Zentgraf treated the residents by singing love en he had them singing along to some love jams, which took them down memory lane.
