“Nathan Govender, aka Ultimate Nathan, has a lot of raw talent and with the guidance of the HWA Superstars, he will become one of the future greats of South African wrestling.
“But, he needs to know that it will take a lot of hard work to step up to the next level of wrestling that HWA presents,” said Steve van Eeden, the founder of Honour Wrestling Association (HWA).
According to Steve, HWA is always looking to help build the future superstars of South Africa and said, “What better way to do that than to contract them and let them wrestle with the best names in the business?”
Nathan has been wrestling for the past six years, and is a Tag Team and Interprovincial Champion. On his decision to join HWA, he had the following to say: “I wrestled for various smaller promotions but felt it was time to grow and take on new challenges. I am very interested in having matches with legends like Steve Eden, Dirty Jackson, Two Face, Mr Money and Hector Payne, to name a few. There are also now many more dream matches possible, and I will be able to work on my dream of becoming the South African Champion.”
He added that his fans played a big role in his decision. “They will be able to see more of Ultimate Nathan as HWA has many shows lined up for 2019, which is quite exciting. Fans can expect great matches and memories with spectacular performances,” Nathan said.
Nathan believes that this decision will also aid him in realising one of his ultimate goals; to perform on WWE NXT or other big wrestling promotions in Japan or the United States of America.
“Being part of HWA will afford me the opportunity to be more creative and to have more matches, resulting in me gaining more experience. I will also have the opportunity to compete for the South African championship; something I feel will cement my legacy.”
He promised that he will fill the square circle with high-flying wrestling action like never before. “I am excited to bring you along on my journey. Hop on, there’s room for all.”
Steve van Eeden concluded by saying, “Fans can look forward to seeing the wrestling talent of Ultimate Nathan explode at HWA Wrestling”.
