What statement is Roodepoort Police making?

Woman made police sign an acknowledgement of their problem.

A Horizon View resident, Thembhelihle Radebe had an ‘I don’t know if I should laugh or cry’ moment at the Roodepoort Police Station yesterday, 4 February.

On Sunday, 3 February, she was involved in an accident in the parking lot at Westgate Shopping Centre. On Monday she went to the police Station to make an affidavit for insurance purposes. But to her surprise she was told that they did not have the correct book in which to take down a statement.

She then insisted that the police stamp an acknowledgement that she was indeed there but that they were at fault for not having the book in question. She is still uncertain how this will affect her insurance claim.

The Record is in the process of obtaining comment from the station.
