The Moors Castle welcomes all for 2019 Readers and Writers Festival
Set in a beautifully tranquil setting, the sunny skies above made for a lovely day out at The Moors Castle.
Readers and writers of all ages and sizes had the chance to meet a number of local authors between attending the useful talks on publishing at The Moors Castle.
The Moors Castle, the perfect setting for the 2019 Readers and Writers Festival, is nestled in an off-the-beaten-track spot, surrounded by trees with a little river cutting through the small forest.

While the authors were all set up inside the castle, all the food vendors and stalls were scattered around the grounds behind the castle in the comfort of the shade and gentle sunshine. Not only was the setting perfect for those who enjoy reading and writing in a tranquil setting, but there was also beautiful music on and off throughout the day when guest speakers or open mic poets weren’t on stage.
Those who made the trip to the festival were treated to insightful talks on how, as a writer, you should go about writing your books, how you should market them, and how you can get your book into a bookstore.

Once the guest speakers had finished sharing their wisdom, there came time for some more music shortly before the open mic poetry sessions started. Once those concluded, festival-goers continued their conversations with some of the authors from whom they gained invaluable wisdom and insight.
Overall, the organisers of the event, Writers Bloc, put together a festival that was enjoyed by all, and is hopefully one that local residents can look forward to next year.
