The exhilarated Pretoria resident travelled with his wife, Thembi, to the CMH Volvo Cars Westrand dealership in Little Falls to drive away with the car, after a moment of disbelief and celebrations.
Kirby Assam, the communications manager at Dulux, explained how one got to enter the competition. “The competition started on 15 October and ended on 15 December. It entailed customers going to a shop that sells Dulux products, buying products to the value of R1 000 and entering the competition, and then get placed into a draw. We had weekly prizes of R50 000 each before announcing the grand prize winner of this beautiful Volvo,” she explained.

A chuffed Daniel took the News’ journalist through how he entered for the competition. “We were busy with a massive renovations project so we decided to go to our nearest outlet that sells Dulux paint, where we stocked up on products to the tune of R9 000. After the purchase, I entered the competition by SMS and I then received the life-changing call in December,” he explained as he thanked Dulux for the car.
