The police stations under the Johannesburg West Cluster are continuing where they left off during the festive season in their mission to combat crime. This was evident following a flash crime prevention operation which saw the shutdown of various illegal outlets and brought in a number of arrests in the cluster.

Honeydew Police spokesperson, Captain Balan Muthan, shed light on the operation. “This was a combined operation involving all stations in the Johannesburg West Cluster, plus the Joburg Roads Agency which we carried out to curb all lawless activities such as shutting down illegal shebeens and conducting roadblocks,” he explained.
