City Power technicians are currently investigating the reason for the power outage this morning, Thursday, 17 January, in various Roodepoort suburbs.
According to the power utility, the affected areas include Wilgeheuwel, Honeydew, Lazer Park, Radiokop and surrounding areas.
The estimated time of restoration is still unknown as technicians continue to probe the cause.
Ruimsig was also added to list after the substation on Peter Road tripped; however, technicians were dispatched to attend to the outage.
City Power apologised for the inconvenience caused to those affected.
