I read the article about many people in Witpoortjie having been ill. I live in Grobler Park and I believe this is a result of the gassy smell that the residents of Grobler Park and some parts of Witpoortjie have been experiencing.
I have had dizzy spells and headaches lately. We have lodged complaints with Johannesburg Water and a local councillor has been made aware of this but nothing seems to be forthcoming.
This is just a matter of someone not doing their job. We shouldn’t be resorting to picketing, which is what most people tend to do.
