Some big why, what and where questions.
What is going on with our Post Office?
Letters to the Cape used to take three days. Now a letter can take six weeks or longer to be received, and at times just go missing. (Regrettably, not everyone in the world has email.)
Even tried sending letters by registered mail, which used to take a week. Now letters take a month to arrive. To use a courier to send a card is very expensive.
Why does a letter from the UK take two months to get here? Where has it been? Taking the scenic route perhaps?
Is the Post Office short-staffed and can’t afford to use the many unemployed hanging around the robots?
Are the staff not being paid? So they are on a go-slow and can’t be bothered to sort and deliver the post.
Is their mode of transporting post not working – a puncture in their bicycle wheel, no petrol for their motorbikes or cars?
Perhaps sending post by ship or train and using a racing pigeon would be the way forward.
