“We are so used to Adam’s routine every day, but we didn’t see him on the 27th. Since he had not shown up by the time it got dark, I went to the cafe in Florida Hills where he always buys bread. I showed Adam’s photo to the man behind the counter, who immediately recognised him,” she said.
Wirth added that she was informed that, according to the man at the cafe, Adam arrived at the shop just after 8am with a deep cut on his palm, “He described the cut as ‘looking like the inside was coming out’ and he advised Adam to go to the hospital immediately. It is believed that he was attacked with a knife,” said Wirth.
She said that they were very concerned about Adam, as they could not be sure if he ever went to a hospital, “We have no idea where he could be, or if someone gave him a lift to hospital. We have visited all the hospitals in our area, and have not found him yet.”

She concluded by appealing to anyone who has seen him, or might know where he is, to contact her on 083 627 5363.
