Keep them busy with these portable playsets

Make your own travel play sets and wow the kids!

Every parent knows the frustration of trying to keep their children busy during a long car trip over the holiday period, but don’t despair, because these easy to make play sets will keep them busy for hours!

These easy Do It Yourself projects only need a few supplies and will not take hours to make, so look at the instructions below, and try one or two for yourself!

For the building bricks play set, you will need empty tins, building bricks (Lego or any other brand), hot glue sticks and a hot glue gun.

Instructions:

1. Hot glue building bricks board onto the inside of the tin lid.

2.Place building bricks inside.

For the drawing activity case, you will need empty tins, crayons and some sticky notes.

Instructions:

Place crayons inside tin.

Stick sticky notes onto the inside of the tin lid.

To make the fishing play set you will need an empty tin, felt, scissors, paper clip, popsicle stick, string and a magnet.

Instructions: 1. Cut two fish shapes out of felt.

2. Apply hot glue to one shape and stick the paper clip down. Stick the other fish cut out on top.

3. Cut popsicle stick to size of tin.

4. Tie string on the end and hot glue it down.

5. Tie and hot glue magnet on the other end of the string.

To make the Tic-Tac-Toe play set you will need an empty tin, paper and a marker

Instructions:

1. Cut paper to the size of the tin.

2. Draw out a tic-tac-toe board.

3. Add two sets of five buttons of the same colour.
