Ideas for how to spend Christmas Day

Every family is different and they choose to spend Christmas in different ways.

Have you run out of ideas for how you and your family should spend Christmas Day? Well, every family is different and they choose to spend Christmas in different ways. However, in most cultures you wake up on Christmas Day, bath and put on your best attire, then go to church. After church the family sits down and has turkey for lunch.

Here are some ideas for how you to spend your Christmas Day:

– Check your local community groups’ Facebook pages – they might be planning to do something that you’re interested in.

-Play some family games, like ‘Pin the nose on the reindeer’, which is a version of the classic ‘Pin the tail on the donkey’. Cut a reindeer from card stock and pin it to a corkboard. Blindfold your family members and let them try to pin the reindeer’s nose on using drawing-pins. For smaller children, rather tape or glue the shapes to cardboard and eliminate the use of drawing-pins.

-Print some Christmas-themed Bingo cards and enjoy a fun-filled bingo game with family and friends.

-A great holiday activity for children of all ages is a scavenger hunt. Print some fun reindeer tags, hide them around the yard and let the kids have hours of fun searching for them.

-Search online for some fun Christmas activity pages to print and keep your children entertained. You can also print some puzzles, crosswords and riddles – all Christmas-themed of course – for some fun for the whole family!

-You can also go online and download some printable trivia games all about Christmas. This will keep the children occupied for a while. It’s easy – just print and play!
