Members from Know Me and the Handelinge Church visited the two shelters, where they took part in an inspirational Christmas service and sang Christmas carols by candle-light.

The residents did not only receive food for the soul, but for the body as well, as they each received a hot plate of food and some delicious dessert.

Before the evening’s festivities were concluded, every resident also received a small gift.

Isabel Sutherland, from Know Me, concluded by thanking everyone who made the evening possible, and said, “Thank you for all the donations and support from individuals as well as companies – without you, we would not be able to do what we do.”

After wishing each other a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, everyone went their separate ways.
