RAs urged to support CPF in 2019
With the very challenging 2018 almost behind everyone, Burnett said he was looking forward to another fruitful partnership between the RAs in order to achieve their set of goals in the New Year.
“Remember, it’s you who make up the sector and help to make it safe and crime-free,”
Those were words of Neville Burnett, the chairperson of the Honeydew Community Policing Forum (CPF), who encouraged the continued participation of Residents’ Associations (RAs) in the monthly forum meetings next year.
With the very challenging 2018 almost over, Burnett said he was looking forward to another fruitful partnership between the RAs in order to achieve their goals in the New Year.
The chairman was pleased to announce in a report that the RAs had agreed to have representatives at the CPF’s meetings next year. He then appealed to residents within the RAs to support this commitment. “The residents, townhouse complex body corporates and businesses are encouraged to support them in their endeavours to keep the sector safe and crime free,” Burnett said.
He also encouraged the use of legal channels to report disputes instead of tossing them onto social media. “Unfortunately, some social media posts play a very negative part in what we do. I would like to encourage everyone to report matters via the legal channels in order for them to be addressed and resolved,” he appealed.
He concluded by wishing everyone a safe and crime-free holiday season and all the best for 2019.
