Various areas were visited to create awareness of the problem.
On 29 November, the Florida Police Station embarked on a domestic violence awareness campaign in order to coincide with the 16 Days of Activism campaign.
The campaign was spearheaded by spokespersons Captain Lydia Dikolomelo and Sergeant Mpho More. Pamphlets were handed out in different areas of the community to sensitise the public to the problem. Various shopping malls were also visited. The pamphlets covered subjects such as different forms of abuse, application of a protection order, and the legal remedies available.
