Man busted in Ruimsig for cable theft

A search of the area was conducted, but unfortunately the other two suspects couldn’t be located.

During a routine patrol in Ruimsig at 1am this morning, a tactical response officer from BCI Security noticed a suspicious Ford bakkie, which upon investigation was found to be hiding stolen electrical cables.

The officer from BCI turned his vehicle around to investigate and approached the bakkie, where he then engaged with the three male occupants of the vehicle. Upon further investigation, the BCI officer found a large quantity of stolen cables hidden under a cover on the back of the bakkie.
