Princess Neighbourhood Watch sees success

Informal settlement residents see a positive difference

Residents of Princess informal settlement have seen a positive difference in terms of crime in the area since the appointment of the Princess Neighbourhood Watch.

Early this year community members formed the neighbourhood watch to help ensure the well-being and safety of the residents of the area.

Ward 71 councillor, René Benjamin recently stated that she is pleased with and appreciates the amount of support the neighbourhood watch is getting. The team members were donated walkie-talkies to ensure more effective communication, as well as reflector jackets to make them more visible when they are on night duty.

The Princess Neighbourhood Watch chairperson, Anthony Malhiba expressed his gratitude for the donations as they will make such a big difference for the patrollers when they are on duty.
