Maragon sport stars continue to perform

One of the girls excelled on the equestrian front, while the other shone on the netball front.

Two learners from Maragon Ruimsig have recently excelled on the sporting front, with one winning a national title and another excelling at provincial level.

Aneshia Kock, an upcoming equestrian, has undoubtedly made her family proud after she excelled at the national South African National Equestrian Schools Association competition. Aneshia took part in the in-hand utility category, coming up against some of the best in-hand riders in the country. She stepped up big time against the tough competition, and managed to win her competition, making her the national champion in the category.

The other Maragon sports star, Abigail van der Sandt, also recently excelled on the netball front, having taken part in the U/12 Gauteng Indoor Netball Super League. Abi, as she’s affectionately known, played an integral role in her team, and was a major factor in the team’s success in the league. Abigail and her team managed to win the league, as all of the girls stepped up and ensured they walked away with a gold medal in the U/12A league.
