Yesterday, 27 November, at about 3.45pm, numerous shots were fired in Wilson Street near Dorljota House.
A reliable source said she was on her way home from her place of employment in the Roodepoort CBD when she heard “between 10 and 15 shots ringing out”. Shortly afterwards she saw numerous police vehicles on the scene. The Record approached the Dobsonville Roodepoort Lanseria Johannesburg Taxi Association for comment but they denied that the shooting had anything to do with the taxi association and said it was only coincidence that it took place near their building.
