Roodepoort Police’s stop-and-search operations yields results

During the weekend of 23 to 25 November, the Roodepoort Police carried out stop-and-search duties, which resulted in 30 arrests.

The suspects, aged between 19 and 54, were arrested on various charges, including possession of suspected stolen property, theft, possession of drugs, house robbery, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, shoplifting, fraud, armed robbery, trespassing, contravention of protection order, malicious injury to property, contravention of the Liquor Act and attempted theft of motor vehicle.

All suspects were charged and detained at the Roodepoort Police Station and will be appearing in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court soon.
