Karatekas excel all over the country

The two karatekas performed exceptionally well, earning medals in the process.

Two learners from Charterhouse Preparatory School recently excelled on the karate scene, achieving medals in both Stellenbosch and back home in Roodepoort.

Darien Schwarz and Kyan Attfield both competed in the South African Goju-Ryu Karate Championships, held in Stellenbosch. Darien managed to earn himself a bronze medal in the 9-year-old Kata division in both orange and green belts. Kyan took part in the Kumite division, and managed to finish in third place, also returning home with a bronze medal.

Once Darien returned home, he also competed in the Palm Court championships at the end of October and managed to win himself the gold medal in the Kumite division.
