Free diabetes screening at Horison shopping centre
Lions Clubs creating awareness for Diabetes
November is Diabetes Awareness month, and in support of this, Roodepoort Host Lions Club will be offering diabetes screening and blood pressure testing.
The event will be taking place on 24 November at the Horizon View Shopping Centre from 10am to 1pm. The diabetes screening and blood pressure testing will be done by a qualified nursing sister and will be offered for free.
Sandy van Heerden, the district Public Relations Officer (PRO), said, “It is extremely important to have the whole family screened to ensure that diabetes is not a threat to the health of anyone in your family and it will cost you nothing so don’t miss out on this opportunity.”
