Catch the Tina Turner tribute show at Roodepoort Theatre
The concert promises to be a fabulous fun night out for the family
If you love Tina Turner and her music, you need to get down to the Roodepoort Theatre for Tina – Simply the Best.
This sensational show will be highlighting the unforgettable hits from the legend herself, Tina Turner, and will be on stage from 6 to 16 December.
This full stage production will be sure to provide the audience with an electrifying concert experience and will be brimming with Tina’s hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s.
Hear all the energetic hits that made Tina Turner one of the 20th century’s biggest names in music, such as Simply the Best, What’s love got to do with it, River Deep Mountain High, Proud Mary, Nutbush City Limits, We don’t need another Hero, What you get is what you see, Private Dancer and many more.
The lead role of Tina Turner is played by South African born Caroline Borole. She was handpicked by Showtime Australia director, Johnny Van Grinsven to take this powerful role to stage, and, with her thrilling stage presence and powerful, raspy vocals, the concert promises to be a fabulous fun night out for the family.
At the tender age of 10, Caroline’s father introduced her to The Soul of Ike & Tina Turner, a record that sparked her interest in the jazz and Blues genres. After numerous weekends of the record on repeat, Carole began to idolise the iconic female musician, taking note of Tina’s outrageous confidence and high energy.
With hours of study and repetition of the Tina – Simply The Best set list, Caroline used her bold personality and knowledge of various musical genres to conquer Tina’s iconic growls, grunts and raspy vocals, and became acquainted with the highly intense dancing Turner performed on stage for her audiences.

The shows will be taking place at the Roodepoort Theatre, 100 Christiaan de Wet Road, Florida Park, Roodepoort. During the week, the shows will start at 8pm, on Saturdays there will be a show at 3pm as well as 8pm and Sunday’s show is at 3pm.
