Lodge brings smiles to children’s faces

26 teddy bears were donated.

This past Saturday (3 November) was National Children’s Day, and to bring smiles to their faces the Roodepoort Masonic Lodge donated teddy bears to the 26 children at St Laurence’s Children’s Haven in Discovery.

The Lodge is 123 years old and is registered under The United Grand Lodge of England (www.ugle.org). Charity work forms a major part of the Freemasons’ activities and over the years this Masonic District has donated over R50 million to worthy causes.
