Various private emergency services have confirmed that a man jumped in front of a train at Roodepoort Railway Station in the CBD.

Johannesburg Emergency Management Services (EMS) attended to the scene at about 11am. According to EMS spokesperson, Robert Mulaudzi, the man was declared dead on the scene.
Mulaudzi said that he would prefer not to speculate about the motive.
