Gateway Village Christmas market a great success

A chuffed Moira told Northsider that the support from the community was pleasing and the funds made on the day would contribute to covering some of the shortfalls at the village.

Gateway Society fundraising manager, Moira Short, is extremely grateful to the community for its loyal support at the village’s annual Gateway Christmas Carnival Market on 3 November.

The Gateway Village was a hive of exciting activities as the centre displayed a variety of outdoor and indoor stalls for the attendees, who were spoilt for choice on that sunny Saturday.

“This is one of our biggest annual fundraisers which we are totally reliant on. The community proved their loyalty by coming out and supporting us once again. Our thanks go to the stall-holders who attended and the public who came to support our cause. These efforts normally go towards the shortfalls that we have in the village, such as the residents in the village who have no parents, and are basically welfare cases – funds like these help to feed them and clothe them as well,” Moira said at the event.
