Charter College Grade 8s donate pet food to Randburg SPCA

The money from the charity shop where learners also bought items all goes towards buying supplies for the animals.

Charter College’s Grade 8s chose the Randburg SPCA as the beneficiaries of the school’s annual charity drive.

As they walked through the kennels and cages, some learners seemed sensitive to seeing the dogs’ and cats’ cute little faces, and realised the heaviness of the task. However, they all realised that the animals really are spoilt with love and attention when visitors are there.

The people at the SPCA were very appreciative and thanked the learners profusely for the food and toys they donated. Afterwards, the Grade 8s headed to the SPCA’s charity shop where they bought various books and ornaments, again in support of the SPCA. The money from the charity shop all goes towards buying supplies for the animals.

Charter College’s work for the Randburg SPCA doesn’t stop there however, as they will be collecting money for the SPCA’s Wall of Humanity. To lend a hand, you can buy a brick for R67 and have a plaque put up, dedicated to someone you love or maybe yourself.
