Children hidden in the bathroom during house robbery

A woman had to protect herself and two children in the bathroom when criminals stormed into their house in Little Falls yesterday, 25 October.

According to Gary Jordaan of BCI Security, the two perpetrators broke into the house and escaped with two televisions.

“The resident and her children hid in the bathroom while the thieves took two televisions and fled. Our officers were there within 50 seconds of receiving the panic alert, but the thieves had already fled,” he said.

Police were at the scene to further investigate the incident.

Another alert pertaining to armed robbers operating in the Constantia Kloof area has also surfaced. The perpetrators were pretending to be SABC TV licence inspectors. They are apparently neatly dressed in suits, but are considered dangerous. They drive a silver VW Caddy.

Residents have been advised not to open their gates or doors to them and to call their security companies or the police.
