Malatsi: “His passing will leave an irreparable vacuum”

It’s been reported that the Bosso Ke Mang hitmaker allegedly committed suicide after suffering from depression.

 

The unexpected passing of legendary Motswako rapper Jabulani Hip Hop Pantsula Tsambo has not only left his family, friends and fans reeling, prominent figures of society are also shocked and saddened.

News of Jabba’s untimely death broke on Thursday, 24 October – shocking South Africans who poured out their messages of support on social media while those close to him gathered at his Randpark Ridge home in support of his family.

It is alleged that the Bosso Ke Mang hitmaker committed suicide after suffering from depression. He died at the age of 38. He had confessed in the past that he suffered from depression and had even tried to cut his life short.

Fellow artists and politician have flooded Twitter with messages of condolences and shared fond memories of recent events.

Solly Malatsi, the DA national spokesperson, was among many public figures that came out to share a few words about HHP. “The DA mourns the passing of SA music legend, Jabulani Hip Hop Pantsula Tsambo. HHP was one of the fiercest pioneers of Mzansi hip hop and rapping in vernacular,” he said.

He added, “From hits such as Harambe to Bosso Ke Mang, he was an artist who used his voice to fight injustice, celebrate our diversity as a nation and provided a soundtrack of hope to millions of young people in our country. His passing will leave an irreparable vacuum but his music will live on. Rest in peace”.
