Make this Christmas a special one for the children of the Tshepang Programme
Show some love and support to orphans and vulnerable children by helping to make their Christmas joyful.
Show some love and support to the orphans and vulnerable children of the Tshepang Programme for Orphaned and Vulnerable Children in the Princess informal settlement by helping them to make Christmas joyful.
The organisation relies on the generosity of others to continue supporting the children, and what better way is there to celebrate Christmas than giving to those who don’t have?
The organisation would like to give each child a gift consisting of school shoes, school uniforms, and stationery (books, exam pads, colouring pencils, pencils, pens, rulers and erasers).
The programme also runs a Soup Kitchen for the elderly, every Tuesday and Thursday. It’s their wish to put a smile on the faces of elderly by giving each a gift or a pack of sweets for Christmas. This is a new initiative that they would like to start this year, but they need assistance.
“We are now in the season of giving, when people show their love by giving, and the children really wish to receive something from the programme at this time. However, due to our budgetary constraints, this expectation may never be met, except through the generosity of the community,” said the programme director, Susan Rammekwa.
They currently offer care and support to 320 children. Support services include provision of daily nutritious meals, homework supervision, life skills programmes, and recreational and arts and crafts activities.
Anyone who wants to donate can contact Susan on 083 456 6993. Monetary contributions can be deposited directly into the organisation’s bank account, as follows:
