HKA bags 11 medals at debut championships

'Our fighters did very well against strong opponents'

 

Four fighters from the Honour Kickboxing Academy (HKA) competed in their maiden championships recently, and did extremely well.

They competed at the Great North 3 Championships that took place in Pretoria and managed to bag a total of 11 medals – six silver and five bronze.

The fighters who won medals are:

• Ryan Boshoff (one silver and one bronze)

• Zanél van Eeden (one silver and two bronze)

• Zanique van Eeden (two silver and one bronze)

• Britney Swart (two silver and one bronze)

Sensei Antoinette Visser said that she was very proud of the fighters’ achievements, as they had very strong competition. “They did very well,” she said.

Steve Eden, the owner of HKA said, “We definitely made a huge impact at the championships and received good feedback from both the South African Kickboxing Association’s (SAKA) Chairperson and Vice-chairperson.”

He added that they currently have 27 registered fighters and are working hard to have them ready for next year’s championships.
