Over 100 arrests by JHB West Cluster
“These suspects will appear in various courts,” Muthan said.
A total of 143 arrests were made during the period from 12 to 14 October by the Johannesburg West Cluster.
According to Captain Balan Muthan, Honeydew’s Police spokesperson, the crimes ranged from murder, rape, and house robbery, to drunken driving, shoplifting, theft and various other crimes.

“The suspects will appear in the various courts,” Muthan said.
He added that the social crime units were also out and about raising awareness about crime. “Social crime at the various stations carried out many social crime projects during the past week, educating the community on hot spots and how to avoid becoming a victim of crime by handing out pamphlets and other materials on street corners and at shopping centres,” he explained.
