15 November is going to be one of the most important dates of this year. Why?
Because on 15 November, Caxton Joburg West and Hearts and Crafts are hosting the very first Reader’s Day of, hopefully, many more still to come.
What is a Reader’s Day, you ask? It’s a day you spend with like-minded people who want some time out of their busy lives to enjoy a fun day learning new crafts. And the best of all, it is just before Christmas, and will make your unique way of wrapping gifts the talk around the lunch table.
But wrapping gifts is not going to be the only craft you learn on that day. You will also be taught how make a gift box and pack a suitcase in a hurry and make beautiful bows for your gift box.
I remember many years ago the Roodepoort Record hosted Reader’s Days and they became extremely popular. If you remember those days too, then it is imperative that you don’t miss this one.
Those events made me fall in love with crafts. Not only is it therapeutic, but it is fun as well. And the best part is people think you are very clever and arty when you give them your gifts.
Just to make sure you don’t leave with just your own creative goods, there will be a goodie bag for each person who spends the day with us learning new crafts.
There will be lucky draws, but most of all, it’s gonna be fun, fun, fun.
I am super excited and I hope you are too.
Read more about this on page ?????.
Whatever you do, don’t miss this. Oh, did I mention it is for a good cause? This is all for a West Rand-based charity, so don’t miss out. Just don’t.
Until next week, take care of one another.
