Roodepoort petrol attendant goes the extra mile
'Our faith in humanity is restored'
A petrol attendant at a Sasol service station in Roodepoort restored some faith in humanity when he went the extra mile recently.
Chris de Koker said his father-in-law visited the service station on the corner of Ouklip and CR Swart Road on 30 September to fill up his vehicle. “My father-in-law must have dropped his phone without realising it. That is when Victor Motsusi stepped in. He picked up the phone and kept it with him.
When he noticed the battery was running low, he charged it to ensure the battery would not die and we would be able to dial the number to locate it,” Chris said.
He added that they were extremely grateful, and said, “We just want to thank Victor. He did not only give us good service, but he went the extra mile and restored our faith in humanity with his honesty. May God bless him.”
