I address this open letter to the members of the Fun Club, on behalf of myself and the residents of Klein Helderkruin Retirement Village.
We would like to take the opportunity to convey our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to you for the unreserved kindness and dedication in organising the functions and events for the residents of the retirement village, the most recent one being the Spring festival dance and delicious lunch.
It is clear that the entertainment, meals, photos and simply everything else associated with the events require commitment and dedication. The wonderful events organised by you also serve as a ‘lifeline’ and give meaning to the otherwise uneventful lives of most residents.
Your commitment and the unrewarded devotion of your valuable time are not only immensely appreciated, but immeasurably commendable.
It gives us hope and happiness to know that there are still people like you who are prepared to sacrifice their time and energy for the well-being of the elderly.
