At least 209 people and 99 vehicles were searched when the Johannesburg West Cluster together with the Gautrain Metro Police officers conducted a roadblock on the N14 on 21 September.
The focus of the roadblock, which was dubbed ‘Operation Buya Mthetho’, was to address crime and clamp down on motorists violating road traffic rules, according to Captain Makgowanyana Maja, the Johannesburg West Cluster corporate communications officer.
