Pedestrian killed on N1 near Maraisburg
Accident will be the subject of an investigation by the relevant authorities.
A pedestrian was killed when he was knocked down by a vehicle on the N1 South after the Maraisburg offramp yesterday evening (24 September), according to ER24 spokesperson, Ineke van Huyssteen.
When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly before 7pm, they found a man lying in the fast lane of the highway with fatal injuries. He was declared dead at the scene by the paramedics.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not known yet, but police were on the scene for further investigations.
