CITYRUN sponsors gear up for hands-on approach at race
The third instalment of the FNB 10K CITYRUN will see its sponsors continue with a hands-on approach to the race.
Participants will be able to see event sponsors taking a hands-on approach to the third annual FNB Joburg 10K CITYRUN on National Heritage Day.
“The FNB Joburg 10K CITYRUN enables us to provide a unique experience that is a mixture of tourism, fun and endurance. It is a chance to see Joburg as one rarely gets to experience it, from seeing the City’s historic landmarks to its people and experiencing the lovely vibe that the city is renowned for,” said Mike Vacy-Lyle, CEO of FNB Business. Runners will be able to look out for FNB supporters at three sponsor points en route.
The exciting #ForeverFaster PUMA ‘Beat Bolt’ sprint will also once again be the source of much excitement and #FastTimes. “We’re excited to give Joburg residents another chance to #BeatBolt,” said Brett Bellinger, Marketing Director of PUMA South Africa.
Activated on the second half of the route, runners are reminded to leave a little extra in the tank as this activation requires speed over a 100m sprint. This section of the route will be timed.
The male and female runners to clock the fastest time over the 100m will take home a PUMA shopping voucher to the value of R10 000.
This year the FNB Joburg 10K CITYRUN’s 10km route, from FNB Bank City (Johannesburg) to Mary Fitzgerald Square (Newtown) will highlight iconic landmarks, and boast lively performances by a host of Joburg’s leading performing arts groups, all while featuring high energy vibe points activated by event sponsors.
