Lend your hand in curving blood shortage

The team at Curves Strubens Valley will be holding a blood drive in a month's time and would like your support.

The ladies-only gym will be holding a blood drive in conjunction with the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) at the Strubens Valley Shopping Centre next month.

The drive will not be the gym’s first charity event this year, as they have already taken part in two charity drives earlier in the year. The first was a collection initiative by Curves Strubens Valley’s owner Nicky Seger.

Within a space of five to six weeks Nickey cycled an hour in the gym for every 10kg of items collected for Baby Moses Child Sanctuary. On top of that, they also found themselves helping out at The New Harvest Christian Fellowship in Harveston AH for Mandela Day on 18 July.

Their next initiative will be the blood drive, which will be held on Saturday, 20 October between 10am and 2pm, and they are appealing to the community to support the drive.

The event will be held outside the Curves gym at the Strubens Valley Shopping Centre.
