Regardless of the cold and windy morning of 8 September, the community came out to do the clean-up.
Ward 85 councillor, Sonja Meyer organised a clean-up in Princess informal settlement and surrounding areas. They were also joined by the Urban Inspector, Doreen Mompati.

Everyone who was present played a role by picking up litter, cutting the overgrown grass on the pavements, and pruning some of the trees and shrubs.
Sonja also distributed the beanies and scarves, which the Volle Evangelie Kerk members donated to the children of Princess.
