Have this problem sorted out

Your favourite distressed and worried pensioner writes:

Whenever something goes wrong in any ward, the ward councillor is supposed to attend to it, but that is definitely not the procedure that is followed by the Ward 84 councillor. Whenever his picture appears in the Roodepoort Record it shows you that he is always attending to a problem in some other area.

But he is never seen in the bird sanctuary area and he does not know just what the sanctuary looks like. Firstly, he has not as yet had the area and the water problem at the western end sorted out. The river is slowly filling up with gungy green water because the bridge is still blocked with rubbish which has not yet been cleaned up. Also there is still more rubbish further in which also has not been cleaned up.

Furthermore, a large piece of the green fencing at the corner of Westlake Drive and Makou Street was stolen recently but as yet nothing has been done to fix it up.

But those problems are not the only ones that haven’t been sorted out. The fallen trees and blocked water drainage areas are just two of the issues. I would like to know just when the problems will be sorted out permanently. I would not like to, once more, have to bring the Enviromental Department into the picture and let them get it sorted out.

So, Mr Ward 84 councillor, if you don’t want me to keep on moaning about the mess in the bird sanctuary, please get up from your seat and have the problem sorted out.
