Remember to pay us a visit and enter the Name the Chick competition tomorrow
The African Bird Fair is on show at the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden the entire weekend, but unfortunately we will only be there on Saturday.
The Roodepoort Northsider team will be exhibiting at the African Bird Fair on Saturday, 10 September, and wants you to pay a visit, and enter the Name the Chick competition while you’re at it.
From when the gates open at 8am tomorrow, right through the day until 4.30pm, you will be able to find the Northsider at the Fair. We will try to field whatever questions you throw our way, so be creative.
Whether you’d like to know about our Name the Chick competition, what it’s like in the office, or even how we work with the community, feel free to pay us a visit. You will also have the chance to enter our Name the Chick competition, which will be coming to an end next week Friday.

Even though the Northsider won’t be in attendance on Sunday, you’ll be able to find the entry forms and entry box at the stall of the Black Eagle Project Roodekrans (BEPR), as they are our partners in the competition. BEPR is of course the organisation that keepe an eye on the Black Eagles in the Garden, and they will know just about everything there is to know about the Black Eagles.
Whether it will be your second, third, or fourth entry to the competition, submit it. Remember that each entry means you stand a better chance of winning.
Please note that if you work for or are affiliated to the South African National Biodiversity Institute, the Black Eagle Project Roodekrans, the Proteadal Conservation Association, the Wild Orchids of Southern Africa Association, the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden, or Caxton and the CTP Group Limited, you are not permitted to enter the competition.
Entering the competition couldn’t be any easier – you just follow these two steps:
Step 1: Enter your details and answers into the form at the end of the article.
Step 2: ‘Like’ the Roodepoort Northsider’s Facebook page, share the article, and tag four friends in the comments section to see who can come up with the best name.
