Fire in Kloofendal Nature Reserve
Authorities will investigate the cause of the fire.
A fire in the Kloofendal Nature Reserve that could have led to great destruction was quickly brought under control by the Emergency Management Services (EMS).
According to Ward 85 DA councillor, Sonja Meyer, the fire started at about 7.15am on Monday, 3 September. She called EMS and Meyer said that “they were there within 15 minutes”. Although the cause of the fire is still unknown, it is speculated that a fire made by vagrants might have gotten out of hand because of the wind.
