The former ANC Lethuli House employee Errol Velile Present, Ithumeleng Manama, Bheki Biyela and Zhakele Zondi faces charges of robbery with aggravating circumstances, possession of stolen vehicles and attempted murder. Two of the accused’s lawyers arrived at 10am and a third at 11am despite the fact that the proceedings had to start at 9am. Magistrate John Baloyi was clearly not impressed saying it was unfair towards the accused that the case kept on being postponed.

State Advocate Paseka Temeki prosecuted on behalf of the state. Only Present and Manama was cross examined today and halfway during the investigating officer’s testimony proceedings were halted at 3.30pm when the court closed.
