Pray, Work and Slay
“I'm not just a girl from the dusty township, I am a young woman with a vision to change lives by giving hope to the hopeless,” said 22-year-old Nomfanelo Sithole.
Nomfanelo is a Miss Eagle South Africa 2018 Semifinalist and is representing Gauteng in the Miss Eagle South Africa pageant taking place in Durban later this year. She is currently pursuing a degree in Biomedicine and said that in five years time, she wants to be a qualified lab technician. She also hopes to be a public figure who motivates and empowers other women.

“To me, being a woman means I am a strong being. The word ‘woman’ has the word ‘man’ in it, which simply means that any woman can do more than men can. We may not be physically stronger, but we are unquestionably more powerful than men. It takes a strong woman to realise her strength through her pain and be able to heal her wounds without covering them, because she understands that the very same pain will heal her wounds, ” she said.

Nomfanelo said that the reason why she entered Miss Eagle South Africa is because of the passion she has to change lives and giving back to the community. She is writing a book about her life, and is also a brand ambassador for Moto Find, a car dealership company.
