Generosity never goes out of style

The event was treated to the soothing sounds of singer, songwriter and former SA’s Got Talent finalist, Will Rayz.

On 18 August, The South African Etiquette Academy held its annual Charity Fashion Show at the Roodepoort Youth Theatre in Roodepoort.

The event was hosted by entrepreneur, former TV presenter and founder of The Voice Within, Nomalanga Sitole. The event saw 75 students from a number of the Academy’s branches strut their stuff on the catwalk while exhibiting confidence and good posture, together with the skills they acquired as students of the Academy. The event was held for the benefit of not one, but two, good causes.

Founder and managing director of The South African Etiquette Academy, Riandi Conradie, described the Charity Fashion Show as the highlight of the Academy’s calendar, and an opportunity to teach students about giving back, while allowing them to have fun while they’re at it.

The audience at the event was treated to the soothing sounds of singer, songwriter and former SA’s Got Talent finalist, Will Rayz, and actress, motivational speaker, clothing designer and author, Leandie du Randt Bosch gave a stirring talk about feeling comfortable in one’s own skin. Her words resonated just as much with the audience as they did with the students.

The South African Etiquette Academy Charity show was held for the benefit of Paws R Us and Door of Hope, and 10 per cent of all sales from the Pieces of Hope clothing range that was on exhibition at the event were donated to the two charities.
