A traffic pointsman was reportedly rushed to hospital after being knocked over by a vehicle at the intersection of Peter Road and Beyers Naudé Drive this morning, Wednesday, 15 August.
Details of the cause of the incident and the extent of the injuries sustained by the traffic controller were sketchy but several emergency services confirmed that the person was ferried to hospital.

Pointsmen are part of a project by Outsurance and the municipality. They are usually deployed when traffic lights aren’t functioning in a bid to assist with traffic flow.
