Honeydew CPF donates cakes to St Michael’s for Women’s Day
The elderly in the frail care centre at St Michael's Retirement Village were surprised with cakes on National Women's Day.
Members of the Honeydew Community Policing Forum paid St Michael’s Retirement Village a visit on Women’s Day, taking cake to the elderly in frail care.
The Honeydew CPF has paid various organisations a visit over the years to do their bit on National Women’s Day, and this year they picked St Michael’s Retirement Village to visit.

“We wanted to take them some cake for the day as they are often forgotten by many, and to remind them that they are not forgotten by all,” said Jon Rosenberg, Honeydew CPF’s communications officer.
The gesture was made in the hope that those in care at the centre would remember that there are people who care, especially the ladies. The elderly at the centre smiled (some toothlessly) from ear to ear, and were extremely grateful for the generous donation from the CPF.
