Hirsch’s hosts more women at domestic workers’ workshop

The Domestic Worker Workshops at Hirsch's Strubens Valley are held on a monthly basis.

 

The latest Domestic Worker Workshop held at Hirsch’s Strubens Valley featured some of the latest appliances as well as some useful tips for maintaining the household.

Lucky Ndebele from Defy addressed the women who attended the workshop and demonstrated some of the latest homeware appliances. He also explained and demonstrated the correct method of operating and maintaining a front-loader washing machine, as well as the importance of descaling the machine on a regular basis.

“Lucky discussed troubleshooting and general maintenance in order for domestic workers to be empowered and to become more accountable and responsible and to use the products without any difficulties,” said Hirsch’s Strubens Valley’s public relations officer, Dorette Nel.

A lucky draw was held after the workshop, and Joyce Makobane was the lucky winner of the Hirsch’s Vegetarian Cookbook. Pretty Du Toit won the Domestic Worker of the Month award.
